Last week I was in a rush and needed a specific size of screw driver to finish the job. I have several of the size I needed in my tool box but that was miles a way and didn’t seem worth the time and expense. Especially when there was a Lowes right down the street.
I bought a $3 screwdriver. I knew it was cheap. Would not last. I did not care. Cost was all that mattered at the time. I actually threw the screw driver away when the job was complete.

- Clear bids with clearly defined materials and finishes: Do not get ripped off. It’s the oldest trick in contracting used by disreputable people. Make sure you know what you’re getting and paying for.
- Inspections, Guarantees & Warranties: Make sure that the work is backed by a solid warranty and that you have the right to inspect the work and approve it for quality and workmanship.
